About

The Louisiana Youth Leadership Group is a Louisiana-registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the educational goals of the American Legion Louisiana Boys State program.

Louisiana Youth Leadership Group primarily exists to support Louisiana Boys State  through coverage of overall program expenses. This includes covering primarily the cost of program attendance for counselors, staff, and participants, as well as assisting with the cost of promotional and recruitment materials, handbooks, supplies, housing, and meals for Louisiana Boys State.

Louisiana Boys State teaches young men about leadership and civic involvement through the creation of a mock government in which participants learn about Louisiana’s democratic system of government. Participants have the opportunity to create laws, have elections, and solve real world problems facing our state and country. Louisiana Youth Leadership Group, through our support of Louisiana Boys State, is able to empower the next generation of Louisiana’s leaders and give them the tools vital to their success.
